Job Duties
Process new hire paperwork; this includes collecting the required employment information such as I-9's, employment application, background checks, reference checks, etc.
Process employment termination, exit interviews, advising employees of their right to continuing group health care and unemployment benefits
New employee orientation
Responsible for orienting new employees to the organization
Point person for all new employee questions
Maintain personnel files
Keep employee records up-to-date
Assist in hiring process by coordinating job posting on the website, reviewing resumes, and performing telephone interviews and reference checks
Safety
Familiar with OSHA/TOSHA standards
Attributes must include a professional approach and pleasant demeanor, a people person, discreet, fair, tactful and firm
Skills and Qualifications
Proficient in or knowledge of using Excel and Microsoft Word software
High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation
Attention to detail in composing typing and proofing materials; establishing priorities and meeting dead lines
Good to excellent spelling, grammar and written communication skills
Excellent telephone and oral communication skills
Ability to work alone as well as with a team
Self-motivated
Multi-tasker
Open mindedEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
